Writing has always been my passion. Once upon a time I had an imagination full of passion, love, and dreams. I wrote about all of that and even created a comic series, called “Heartman and Zoe.” I wrote poetry, songs, and eventually aspired to write a novel. Since the time I can remember, writing has been my way to overcome Pain. My first two books, “Hannah Bananah Learns About Grief, ” and “Broken Girl,” didn’t go much of anywhere. I used the Amazon KDP route because at the time it was the most popular. I didn’t really understand the behind the scenes How-tos of SEO, keywords, or brand awareness. After years of research, practice, and opening my own consulting business, Katie Merritt Consulting, I learned a new way to make my passion turn into reality. It all started with one word. Pain. This was the step that I needed to not only push myself to get the life I deserve, but empowering the world to do better and be better has become my mission.
My first series, The Road Back to You has since been published on every retail platform, in different languages, and made available in libraries. My latest book, “The Back Road to You” is available in print. Audio and podcast is my next adventure. Derived from that series, The You series, is a work in progress. It is the stepping stone that brought me here. Building a course to teach, empower, and ultimately continue writing is an all in one win-win.
